Having never made a Christening card before I was then asked to make 2 in one week!
The first was for a baby and I used the HunkyDory For the Boys collection. It is an 8x8 card and the papers and toppers were matted onto mirri card. I also personalised the card by typing a message in Word and then matting onto mirri again.
The next card was for an older child so I used the Cross image from Polka Doodles Paper Boutique cd and papers from Polka Doodles Pretty Tuff cd. Again I then personalised by using word.

Some recent cards
I was lucky enough recently to be able to have a whole afternoon crafting as my in laws looked after the children for us. This was a real treat as usually I can only craft after 8pm once the kids are in bed!!
I worked hard and got quite a few cards made up. Here are some of them. I have put them up for sale on my facebook page and am proud to say quite a few have already been sold!!
8x8 Card using HunkyDory For the Girls collection.
Another 8x8 Hunky Dory card
Another from the HunkyDory Collection
And another Hunky Dory!

Some more commissions
The brief for this card was 'Calligraphy'. I used the Calligraphy section on Joanna Sheens Jane Shasky cd. The backing paper was inked with Antique Linen Distress Ink. The topper was made using a Big Scalloped Oval Grand Nestie with the Heartfelt Creations Oval Window as an accent. The flowers were made using a Spellbinder Persian Motif die. The topper and flowers were also inked with Antique Linen Distress Ink.
Again this is an 8x8 card.
The brief for this card was 'Boats/Seaside'. I used one of the new Michael Powell stamps and coloured with a combination of Promarkers and Flexmarkers. The backing papers are from the Michael Powell papers and the bunting and birds are cardstock stickers from the Portobello Road range from Do Crafts.

Commissions
I thought I would share with you some of the recent cards I have been commissioned to make.
For the first I was given the brief of baking or cakes. I used the Polka Doodles Paper Boutique 1 cd and the sugary cake template. This card is the A4 version. I used all five layers on both the front and back which makes a really sturdy card. I added glitter spray to the icing and some ribbon to the front along with a sentiment from the Polka Doodles Candy Doodles cd. This was a 60th Birthday Card.
The second card I was commissioned to make was for an 80th birthday. Brief was floral. I emailed some images across and the client chose the two on the card. I made an A4 gatefold card from pearl card and decoupaged the images. I added some lace and a marianne die swirl to the front. Inside the card is a pretty insert. Images are from the Joanna Sheen, Jane Shasky cd.
The third card was for an animal loving university lecturer. I used images from Joanna Sheens Furry Friend cd and Spellbinders labels 7 die. The happy birthday paper/sentiment was made in Docrafts Digital Designer with a greeting from the Forever Friends cd.

A Crafty New Venture!
Welcome!!
A few weeks ago it was suggested to me that I should start offering my cards for sale.
I have been making cards for a few years now but only just for me to give.
Since talking about the idea I have been lucky enough to gain a few commissions and so Mawgan Rose Crafts has been born!
I will soon add some pictures and details of what I am intending to offer etc so please bear with me while I get everything set up.
I hope you will join me on this new and exciting venture!!
