Busy couple of weeks again!

 Hello again!

The last few weeks have seen birthdays for my nephew and sister as well as wedding card commissions and my 5th wedding anniversary!!

Heres what I have been making.............

This 8x8 card was made using Polkadoodles Pretty Tuff cd. I hand coloured the image to fit with my nephews favourite team colours!! This was a commision for my mum and dad to give to him.

The football base card was made by taking the football embellishment on the Polkadoodles Pretty Tuff cd into Serif and resizing. The image is a Lili of the Valley stamp and again was coloured to fit with my nephews favourite team colours!

Another big event in the last couple of weeks was my baby girl starting school! Cant believe the time has come already-she still seems so little to me!! I made this 6x6 scalloped card to mark the occcasion for her. The papers are Polkadoodles from Pretty Sweet and Pretty Tuff and the image is a Lili of the Valley stamp that I coloured in her school colours.

This card was another commission. The brief was keep fit or dance. This is a Joanna Sheen House Mouse decoupage sheet and I thought it was really good fun! The finished card is A5 size and I just used some pearl card to matt the decoupage onto with a Lili of the Valley sentiment stamp to finish it off.

This is a 6x6 shaped card made using a card companion from the Paintbox Poppets cd. The teddy reminded me of my sisters childhood teddy so seemed perfect for my kids to give to their aunty!

I have been wanting to try making an exploding box card for a while so when my mum asked me to make a card for my sisters birthday I thought I would give it a go!
I used Polkadoodles Picknix 1 cd and took some of it into Serif to scale down to fit the box.
I am really pleased with the finished result!

This is an 8x8 card that I made for my sister using the Polkadoodles Picknix 1 cd and an Emma Canning digi stamp. I designed the layout in Serif and then printed the clouds and bunting again so that I could decoupage them.
I love the colours in this card.

This is another commission. Its an 8x8 easel card made from Centura Pearl. I embossed the background using Spellbinders M Bossibilities Hearts folder and then used the Spellbinders Floral Ovals for the topper. For the black ovals I cut out the centre.

Well I think thats the last week or so's cards for you.

See you again soon x

Me again!

I've lost my inspiration for the last day or so, so thought I would blog instead!

Here's some more recent cards.........

This is another commission. I used the fabulous Polka Doodles paper boutique cd for this. It is the sugary cake template printed in A5 size. I used all the front layers for it and mounted it onto an easel card that I made from Centura Pearl. I used the Spellbinders M Bossibilities Hearts folder on some Centura Pearl Accent card. I love this template and love the dimension to it.

This is another commission and yet again I turned to Polka Doodles!! This time I used the new Pick Nix Collection 1 cd. I used inspiration from the Polka Doodles gallery for this and then changed it around a bit to suit the brief. I used a Spellbinders Floral Oval die for the dress mat and for the happy birthday sentiment mat.

Oh look! Another Polka Doodles card!! (anybody guessed I love their stuff?!) This was for a friends little boy that was turning 2. Its an 8x8 card and all the papers, topper and sentiment are from the Pretty Tuff cd. I used a Spellbinders label 8 to mat the little boy onto and then just a bit of card candi too!

Guess what?! Yep! Yet another Polka Doodles card!! This time I used the Pretty Sweet cd. This was another commssion for a 13 year old. I used the Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Circles dies to create the easel card and a sentiment from Lili of the Valley, with a bit of card candi too!

This card was for my best friend who loves fairies! I used the Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Circles again to create the easel  and the image is from the Katy Sue Designs Wishing on a Star cd. I used a little glitter on the wings to and the image mat is Centura Pearl.

This was again for my best friend but this time was from my children as she is their godmother! She loves purple so I wanted to use purple for her. The base card is made from Centura Pearl and then I used the Katy Sue Designs Wishing on a Star cd again for the image. I used the Grand Spellbinders Labels 11 for the mat and the image and then added some glitter to various parts.

Since we got married (5 years ago tomorrow!!) we have stayed friends with our wedding photographers and have returned with both of the kids to have photos taken over the last 4 years. This year Julian turned 50 and we were delighted to be invited to his celebrations. When I saw the 'photographer Boofle' image I knew it was perfect for his card! I used DoCrafts Digital Designer to design the card and then printed the images out seperately and reassembled them onto the card to give them dimension.

This is a scalloped 6x6 card that I made for the kids to give to my niece. I used the Paintbox Poppets cd and this was one of the card companions. I added card candi to the side.

And to finish off here is another Polka Doodles card :-)
I used the Sugarplum Daisy cd for this card and the Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Circles dies again to create the rocker base and the frame. The bees hang from a little piece of string to add some movement.

Well thats all for now. Hope you liked them! xx

Recent Commissions

Hello again!

Sorry but I have made so many cards recently its taking a few posts to load them all!!

Here are some of my recent commissions....

I do like to be challenged when it comes to my card making and this one certainly did prove to be a challenge. My friend asked me to make her a card for a coule getting married but asked if they could be a nurse and an RAF bomb disposal man!! I hunted around for suitable images and found a nurse image on the Jelly Park website. I contacted Claire at Jelly Park to see if she had any RAF images and she very kindly drew this one for me! She also drew the man seperately and drew a female RAF image for use on cards for OBWS run by Cazz Wright.
My friend was very happy with the end result and it is nice to have been able to make such a personal card!!

The same friend also asked if I could make a wedding card for a Scottish couple using lots of pink and glitter! This is another Jelly Park image. I used pink tartan ribbon and some thistle embellishments for the Scottish element and sprayed the background card with spray and sparkle for the glitter!!

Thank You!

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to say a big thank you to those of you now following me and for your comments and suggestions!!

Here are a few more cards I have made recently............

This card was made using Joanna Sheen's Faye Whittaker cd and a sentiment stamp from Lili of the Valley. Its an 8x8 card.

This is another 8x8 (my favourite size at the moment!). I used the Joanna Sheen Furry Friends cd for this one.

This is a little 6x6 scalloped card made using papers from the Do Crafts Boofle range and then adding letters and a character from the Digital Boofle cd from Do Crafts. I also added some Craftwork Cards Card Candi as well.

Another 6x6 scalloped card using papers from the Boofle range and a digital image. The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.

Hope you like them x

Catching up!

Ok so I have LOTS of catching up to do!
I am hoping that once Milly starts school next week I will be able to find a day a week whilst Finley is sleeping to make sure my blog is updated!

Ok so lets start off with some more cards I have made recently for family and friends!!

These are the two Father's Day cards I made for my dad. The top image is a pre coloured one from the DoCrafts Michael Powell range. The bottom image is a stamp from the same range that I coloured with Flexies and Pro's.

The top image here is from the Katy Sue Wishing on a Star cd. My best friend and her daughter love fairies and so this cd was first choice when it came to doing my god daughters card!
The bottom card here is a 6x6 card made using the new DoCrafts Happy Days papers and fabric brads. I have a friend that is heavily involved in 40's and 50's dance so this seemed like a good choice for that.

Aw! Boofle! I must admit I do have a soft spot for Boofle. When I was working anddidnt have enough time to make cards for people I nearly always chose a Boofle one from the shop! Its great to now be able to make cards for people using him too!!
The top card here is a flat design created with the DoCrafts Digital Designer software and then  printed out and matted onto an A5 card blank.
The bottom card was designed in DDD and then the elements were printed seperately and layered up using a Marianne Design Die to matt Boofle onto.

These three cards are all flat cards made using DoCrafts Digital Designer. I needed some quick cards for various people at Milly's nursery and so the software came in very handy for this!
I usually try to design the cards and then print out seperately to add dimension to them but sometimes I dont have time but like to be able to make cards that are a little more personal.

Father's Day

I had quite a few cards to make this year for Father's day as the kids wanted to send to their grandads too!
Here are some of the cards I made.
Hope you like!

Been a while!

Wow! Hadn't realised I hadn't blogged for so long! It's been a mad couple of months with Milly leaving nursery, having school visits and now the school holidays! Still can't believe my baby is starting school!
I had thought that the holidays would provide more opportunity for day time crafting but it hasn't quite worked like that! Never mind it has just meant my evenings have been very busy instead!!
Anyway I will post some of the cards I have made whilst I have been absent from here!
Hope you like them!

Christening Cards

Having never made a Christening card before I was then asked to make 2 in one week!

The first was for a baby and I used the HunkyDory For the Boys collection. It is an 8x8 card and the papers and toppers were matted onto mirri card. I also personalised the card by typing a message in Word and then matting onto mirri again.

The next card was for an older child so I used the Cross image from Polka Doodles Paper Boutique cd and papers from Polka Doodles Pretty Tuff cd. Again I then personalised by using word.
